Trucks are primarily used to move huge amounts of cargo across distances. The cab is where the passengers are seated. The bed is found at the back of the truck and this is where the cargo is placed.
The basic cab truck can only seat 2-3 persons. This model only has 2 doors. The extended cab truck can have another row of seating to seat 4-5 persons and this model has 4 doors. The bed can be customized to hold the cargo securely. This is done by placing belts and restraints to ensure that the cargo can be transported properly.
There are three types of trucks, and these are light, medium, and heavy duty trucks. The Gross Vehicle Weight Rating can be used to classify these trucks even further by dividing them into 8 classes. Class 8 is the largest and is considered a heavy duty truck. Class 1 is the smallest and is considered a light duty truck.
